Crown Award

The National Council of Alpha Sigma Alpha established the Alumnae Chapter Excellence awards to recognize alumnae chapters that demonstrate the lifetime dedication to the sorority through chapter management and programming. There are three levels of recognition: Palm, Star and Crown.

The Palm recognition is awarded to all alumnae chapters in good standing that complete three additional alumnae chapter expectations (timely submission of all annual reports, all active members must have paid national dues and made an annual contribution to the Alpha Sigma Alpha foundation).

To qualify for the Star or Crown recognition, the chapter must achieve the Palm level, plus complete seven or eleven additional achievements respectively.

Greater Valley Forge was one of three chapters in District 2 to bring home the Crown award. It is a great recognition of our dedication to the ideals of the sorority, and we look forward to continuing that dedication in the upcoming year.

Agape Award

Additionally, we are very proud of our own Kelly Morello, one of three women to receive the Agape Award.

The Agape Award recognizes volunteers who display a love for Alpha Sigma Alpha and its members. Recipients seek at all times to advance the interests of others and to spread the positive influence of Alpha Sigma Alpha.

National Council created this new award specifically to recognize volunteer leaders who have made a significant difference in the lives of our members and have propelled the mission and strategic plan of the sorority forward.

During presentation of the award, National Council described Kelly, "She has a heart for Alpha Sigma Alpha and always gives full measure."
